It (1927): A early "blue" movie, this short film shows a group of scantily-clad young girls frolicking in a garden in a mock game of Tag.

It (1927): "Once you discover what 'It' is, you'll be dying to tell! But please, don't spoil the fun for the next audience!" So began the original poster for this pre-talkie gimmick film. Not everyone who saw It necessarily understood what "It" was: slow readers, careless readers, and illiterate viewers were left scratching their heads, having missed a subtle but crucial change in the spelling of one vitally important word in the final intertitle.

It (1927): Billy Bob and his friends are mad for jazz and dancing. But when Washburn's Soap Powder offers a prize for the best dancer in town, can Billy Bob prove that he's got "it"?

It (1927): At Waltham's department store, lowly salesgirl Betty Lou swoons over Cyrus Waltham Jr., handsome playboy son of the owner. Betty has "it" (sex appeal) in abundance, but it's an uphill battle getting Cyrus to notice. Finally, her smouldering glances begin to take effect. Of course, misunderstandings intervene. Can a woman who loves Coney Island hot dogs and a man who dines at the Ritz ever meet halfway?

It (1927): Silent horror film. A dark beast haunts a small Tennessee town, at first killing vagrants and remote farmers but soon attacking the townspeople themselves.
