I'm for the Hippopotamus (1979):
Two brothers are at odds on how to make a living in apartheid South Africa. Tom runs a safari outfit while Slim tries to sabotage it due to his fondness for wildlife. Tom's guns are loaded with blanks however as he has a soft spot in his heart and loves animals as much as his brother. Both brothers join together, grudgingly of course, to rid their province of a sadistic German tyrant who is trying to run everyone off their land. This person, a former boxer named Ormond, has planned two things; to get as much as land possible and to gather as many animals as possible to sell to zoos.
I'm for the Hippopotamus (1979):
On January 1, 1979, United Nations Secretary General Kurt Waldheim heralded the start of the "International Year of the Child." The mascot? A wide-eyed hippo named Petunicef (an unlikely combination of "petunia" and the acronym UNICEF). This film follows Petunicef's journey around the globe, drawing attention to problems that affected children throughout the world, including malnutrition and lack of access to education.
