Weaving in with the serene sounds is another
song, a whisper so soft that it seems to be the
breeze. However, sharp ears may be strained
to catch the wisps of a voice, the words
muffled in some melody. The song fades away
on the wind as a brown unicorn daintily steps
forth from the trees.
-- Samantha Schwarte, "Crystal Unicorn"
(2005)
Fari heard something on the wind, lifted
his head and looked into the distance. He
couldn't see anything, but he knew something
was nearby. . . . Sensing something behind
him, he suddenly turned round to see a small
unicorn that had approached silently and was
looking at him over the fence.
-- Geoff A. Rigby, "A Magical Meeting"
(1996)
Before the harmonies were broken, unicorns
and winds danced together with joy and no
fear.
-- Madeleine L'Engle, A Swiftly Tilting Planet
(1978)
In this waveform of a unicorn sound carried by the wind, notice
the sudden gust (the "horn") and gliding movement at the end.
