unearths some literary gems.

"A verb to the sap should always be suff," as dear old Bilkins used to say. [Bangs]

Notes on some of the attachments:
1. I've previously mentioned Parrot and Company, but new to me is this on-the-nose (beak?) advertising tagline, "It's a bird" (stated twice--as a parrot might do!).
2. In case it's not clear, the letter signed "Felix J. Lonesomebottom" re. a forthcoming Eugene Field book was written by Field himself.
3. I thought it was amusing that A Taste of Apples is a "fall publication," whether one thinks in terms of Eden or seasonal harvesting--"however you slice it," we might say.
4. "Who Is the Man?" / "Where Is the Man?": It looks like they might have abandoned the Five Ws without going any farther with this series.
